Duplicate person

This report shows potential duplicate Person records based on chosen match criteria. The header of the report shows the chosen match type and the number of potential duplicate Person records found.

Fields

Use the Match Type parameter to choose how Person records are be matched with potential duplicates. There are five match types available:

Match type Description

Match type	Description
`Name, Date of Birth, and Identification Number`	Select to require the first and last name, date of birth, and at least one identification number to match.
`Name and Date of Birth or Identification Number`	Select to require the first name, last name, and date of birth, or an identification number, to match.
`Name Soundex`	Select to group names that sound similar, but have differing spelling.
`Name Soundex and Identification Number`	Select to group names that sound similar and that have a matching identification number.
`Matching Identification Number`	Select to find records only with a matching identification number.

Name, Date of Birth, and Identification Number

Select to require the first and last name, date of birth, and at least one identification number to match.

Name and Date of Birth or Identification Number

Select to require the first name, last name, and date of birth, or an identification number, to match.

Name Soundex

Select to group names that sound similar, but have differing spelling.

Select to group names that sound similar and that have a matching identification number.

Select to find records only with a matching identification number.

Person details

The report groups potential duplicate record sets. For each set, the header shows the data the records match on:
