What is JDA?

Document automation tools are designed to empower you to quickly and easily create documents from templates—templates you can create and update on your own.

JDA simplifies template creation by providing:

  • Microsoft Word Ribbon add-in for accessing template work.

  • Drag-and-drop capability for data and helper functions.

  • Conditional logic and nested loops.

  • Preview option for the current template from in Microsoft Word.

  • Embedded and in-line hover-over documentation.

  • Step-by-step query builder for eSeries API connections.

  • Connections for non-eSeries data sources (REST APIs and SQL databases).

  • Subdocuments, allowing templates to be pulled into other templates. This makes it easy to manage changes for headers, footers, and signatures.

  • Import and export for template collections.

Getting started

The selection of default templates helps you get started with JDA by providing:

  • Generic templates that can be used with little configuration.

  • A starting point for customizing templates.

  • Examples of capabilities and logic.
